Marketing and Outreach Coordinator, City of Austin Small Business Development Program
Joy Miller is the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for the City of Austin’s Small Business Development Program. In this role she has broad exposure to all aspects of marketing and outreach, creating ad campaigns, slogans, public service announcements, training classes, and public speaking to ensure that Austin small business owners are aware of the vast resources available to them. She is also a member of the Association of Women in Communications and treasures the connections she makes with entrepreneurial-minded individuals. Prior to moving to Austin in 2009, she opened a small gift boutique, where she learned first-hand the challenges of the entrepreneurial world.
In her role as Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for City of Austin’s Small Business Development Program, Joy conducts presentations and training sessions to entrepreneurs and theAustincommunity.
Joy has a business background with experience in both human resource management and operations management. She also serves on several non-profits, including board membership on some. In the past two years, she’s served as a judge for the Women Communicators of Austin’s communications awards; for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce’s Business Awards; and on the review committee for one of Impact Austin’s Focus Areas.
