In her present position she is responsible for Content Marketing globally for Cloud, one of IBMs leading strategic initiatives, creating and distributing consumable, relevant content to drive client acquisition and purchase.

Jani previously served as IBM’s Director, Marketing Strategy for Global Mid-Markets  MSPs where she was responsible for strategy and marketing direction of IBM hardware / software / services portfolio for mid-market clients.

Before that she served as IBM’s Director, Strategy, where she created industry-leading strategies for IBM’s $20+B Server, Storage, Semiconductor and Systems Software portfolio, significantly impacting IBM STG’s direction and activity in many areas. Results have lead to formation of new business units; significant staffing / resource allocations / changes; strategic changes in specific geographies and specific technologies; and several acquisitions including, most recently, Platform Computing

trategic liaison to global Venture Community for IBM’s Systems & Technology Group portfolio. She was responsible for identifying / executing strategic partnerships, including M&A, with venture-backed portfolio companies to address IBM strategic portfolio gaps to enable growth. She created multiple new business models to better partner with, and gain greater advantage from, the innovative startup community and led innovative initiative to utilize venture / angel funding to commercialize IBM IP resulting in significant net profit to IBM.

In addition to her distinguished career at IBM, Jani is a Board Member of The Seton Fund at the Seton Family of Hospitals and Board Member of Austin Chamber of Commerce Technology Partnership. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Maryland.
