Helen Mary V. Marek

Helen Mary is intricately involved with all aspects of the Technology Futures, Inc. (TFI) MiniTrends Project. She has lent her talents to the Project’s activities ranging from promotional design to conference graphics to the cover and graphics of the award-winning book MINITRENDS: How Innovators & Entrepreneurs Discover & Profit From Business & Technology Trends by Dr. John H. Vanston with Carrie Vanston. Helen Mary’s expertise includes computer graphics, basic web design, presentation visuals, design and layout, publication graphics and production, corporate identity, photography/photo editing, and displays.

Helen Mary is also involved with TFI’s and MiniTrends’ electronic media and website design and in charge of the production and visual layout for TFI’s publications, client publications, commercial reports, and presentations.

In addition to her creative responsibilities, Helen Mary serves as VP of Operations of Technology Futures where she leads day-to-day corporate operations and general management. She is also the event coordinator of the popular MiniTrends Conference and TFI’s Communications Technology Asset Valuation Conference and Seminar, now in its 11th year.

Helen Mary plays a pivotal role in the production of the bi-annual book Communication Technology Update and Fundamentals, providing on-demand graphics and moving all chapters from draft to camera-ready in weeks. The book is particularly popular as a college text and published by Focal Press. She also designed the layout and logo for TFI’s New Telecom Quarterly journal, Futures’ Features e-letter, and Futures Forum newsletter.

Ms. Marek studied Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Texas State University, San Marcos.
